GALWAY GIRL - GALWAY, IRELAND - DAY 8

Spent more time on the train today- An easy way to end Ireland. We stayed in Galway a bit this morning and Kay got some shopping in for herself and her family. She bought a bunch of wool things that are hand-made here, and were on sale. I bought some Kinder Eggs because they're illegal in the States. I felt like a rebel, and you can't stop my anarchy. We also stopped in a tea café for lunch, (not my cup of tea, but I did it for Kay). The place was extremely posh, and filled with estrogen from the 1800s. I thought it was overpriced, but Kay thought it was charming- I was happy to partake. Later, we walked around and saw the Spanish Arch that was built in the 1500s to keep the Spanish out from invasion.

We hopped back on the train to Dublin, and had our “last supper”. I had lamb stew again and a pint, and Kay had fish and chips. We have a 3AM wake up call tomorrow to catch a 6AM flight, so we’re already going to bed, and it’s around 7pm. We had a really nice time here, but my cold and the temperature have gotten “colder”, so I’m looking forward to hopefully getting warmer in Amsterdam.

Love you!
